100 yen Fashion Statements

My apologies for not updating you readers on what's in and out since december 10. Well I have just returned from KIX (Osaka) and again the 100 yen shop has well made me spend my Yen on nonsense that seem useful - like Snoopy Ang Pau packet, unpolished ladle, bottle brush, kitchen scissors, multi-head screwdriver, and more vacuum bags.

All this seem to be things that one would buy when moving into a new house. Or the other reason being feeling too comfortable with spending my own hard earnings. I believe everyone would agree with the latter.

I too realise that Japanese girls are way too fashion conscious.

Compromising warm leg huggings such as long jeans or pants with inner wear of longjohns is a definite no-no for me. but with the cold... why would anyone do it just to be seen??

Japanese girls mah..*haih...*

Conclusion... there's none. Fashion conscious winter wearing mini skirts Japanese girls still requests for extra blankets onboard... what do u make of that?!

Eyes shutting, brain freezing, fingers error-typing, bed calling. Goodnite. Till then take care.

My dear country

I have just returned from yet another 'holiday' and have gone to get my passport done up for another five years. All the rush from one destination to another is really an adrenaline rush.

My day was like this...

- Touchdown from Amsterdam @ 6.55am
- By the time I got out and collected my cargo it was 7.30am.
- Went on to get some things done and change into civilian.... it was already 7.50am
- Rush to departure (to only see the long queue) to check-in but at the same time having to wait for another 10mins.
- By 8.05am, my boarding pass was issued
- By 8.12am, I boarded the plane that is suppose to depart at 8.30am. *thank GOD i made it!*
- Departure time when doors closed was 8.55am, and with 40mins of flight time I would reach the Kuala of Mud International Airtransfer (if u do not know by now, it is KLIA).
- Once airborne, I was practically hogging the toilet for 10 - 15mins before the Captain made his announcement arrival upon landing.
In that quarter of an hour, my hair was released off its hairnet and u-pins, makeup undone, pretty face to refresh, moisture to put on, makeup to be applied yet again. It was quite a feat with the usual time of 20 - 25 mins. I myself was amazed.

By that time my head was spinning. Eyes wanting to close shut. My body telling me to sleep.
Unfortunately I had another half aday to endure before I could totally rest.

Papa came to receive his precious daughter from the International Airtransfer hub and proceeded to the Imigresen to process a new travel document. To my astonishment the process was indeed really quick (as compared to the usual deeleedehlee we get at the Imigresen @ Pusat Damansara) with people who goes for the morning teabreaks, exceptional long lunch breaks, and also not forgetting afternoon teabreaks.

The very next day I got my passport back and it's really delighting having to see a nicer prettier picture on it than the previous plain face. After paying the MYR300.00 my pocket suddenly felt much emptier; and all that for only 5 years.. why the hell can't they make it 10 years as well???!! *ish ish ish...*

Apart from all the rush I have been able to savour some local delicacies that I have been missing.

nasi lemak
fish head mee hoon
Sek Yuen (Pudu) beef noodles
banana leaf rice

and my ever so faithful milo kosong ice!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and all this with great company!

If ever anyone of you would like to have a taste of these lustfully fattening food do tell me in advance yah!

What I thought of on the 2nd of December 2005

This blog has been up for a month now and no one apart from my dear housemate has seen it and actually given a comment or two. Heck if it's only stupid words of nonsense but they're still something 'encouraging'...

Should I write something more controversial? Should I put up love tests for everyone to quiz themselves? Or should I just continue bitching about how my life in this 'fine' country is like.

Anyway, I have just watched Harry Potter in the cinema.
Verdict: The Goblet of Fire was a total bore!
1. Storyline was so disjointed.
2. Characters just do not have its proper depth for viewers to even analyze.
3. Harry Potter and friends just seem too big in size. They just do not exude 'adventure' anymore.
**Disclaimer: Review is writer's personal opinion.

There are many many more movies I would like to watch and give my views on. Unfortunately I just do not have the time to catch them in the cinema because when I do, they would have finished screening it. So dear readers please do bear with me as I try to watch whatever I can.

Till then, take care and have a good week ahead if I do not publish anything tomorrow night.

It's already December...

Looking back this year has definitely passed just like a flash of a lightening. The December 2004 tsunami felt as though it happened two-three months back. The long awaited union of love of my dearest sister to her lover of eleven years finally took place three months ago. Shopping for new clothing is a definite must-do because the Ang Pau collection time is just a flip away on the 2005 - 2006 calendar.Of all, I must say getting paid to get a job done has been going well. Month after month of good and bad roster really did not make it feel like it is reaching the twelveth month; neither all the bitching and 'back-stabbing' have made me feel any less of a human being. Talking great of myself? Perhaps. And you know what, all this happened in one year and there's more to go.

So ladies and gentlemen, have thou thought of what to fulfill for year 2006? More exercise or dieting regimes and at the same time to save more money? Pick one; coz you you're only able to do either the first or the second. In actual fact trying to start is even harder. Promises are promises even if it's to yourself. Don't make a new year resolution if you can't keep up to it - that's my advise. Whatever it is, good luck and I wish you all the best in fulfilling them.
